A court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced a man to 15 years in prison on charge of attempting to spy for Israel, media reports say.
Reports say the Jeddah Special Criminal Court found the man guilty after he approached security guards at the Israeli Embassy in Jordan to provide the staff with "every piece of information they want about Saudi Arabia."
The defendant was given 15 years in prison and a travel ban for a similar period after serving the jail term,Saudi Gazettenewspaper said on Friday.
The reports did not give details about when and how the man was detained.
