Iran ‘Painting Pool’ to compete at 2013 Busan film festival

Iranian filmmaker’s Maziar Miri’s latest film The Painting Pool has been selected to go on the screen at the 18th Busan International Film Festival.
The movie is scheduled to be presented at “A Window on Asian Cinema” section of the most prestigious film event in South Korea, Busan film festival.

The section is dedicated to the new or the most-talked-about films created by the talented Asian filmmakers.

The movie took Best Film Award by Audiences and Best Set Design Award at the 31th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Felicity Land, The Book of Law, The Reward of Silence,Gradually, and The Unfinished Song are among Miri’s better-known works.

Founded in 1996, Busan film festival is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia.

The 18th Busan International Film Festival is programmed to take place from October 3 to 12, 2013.
