Iran second largest regional gas producer after Qatar

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Managing Director of Iranian Central Oilfields Co. Mehdi Fakoor said the corporation is the second largest gas producer in the region after Qatar.
The company's daily output his 300 million cubic meters, he told ISNA, adding, "The company's gas production ranges 312-324 million cubic meters per day given the country's situation."

According to Fakoor, the corporation generated 748million cubic meters of gas more than scheduled amount in April and May.

He noted the company's daily output should surpass 366 million cubic meters daily by 2017, and continued in case of developing new gas fields, the Iranian Central Oilfields Co would turn out to be one of the largest gas producers in the world.
