Iranian province's exports hit new record

TEHRAN (FNA)- An official in Iran's Northwestern province of Zanjan said facts and figures show that the province's exports rose remarkably in the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2013).


The figures indicate one percent and 33 percent rise in the province's exports in terms of value and weight, respectively, compared to the corresponding period last year, Managing Director of provincial customs office Mousa Mohammadi Ganjeh said.

Over 72,039 tons of commodities, worth $62.93mln, were exported from the province during the first quarter of current Iranian calendar year, the official added.

He noted that the goods were mainly exported to Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan, Germany, China, India, Turkmenistan, Slovenia, UAE, Sri Lanka, Italy, Uzbekistan, Spain, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Russia, Georgia, Egypt, Armenia, Hungary, Azerbaijan, The Netherlands, Kuwait, Ukraine, Slovenia and Greece.
