Rezaei outlines bid to boost Irans marine exports, imports

Iranian independent presidential candidate, Mohsen Rezaei, has pledged to support to Irans maritime imports and exports more effectively if he wins the June 14 presidential election.
During his campaign visit to the southern province of Bushehr, Rezaei said he will concentrate more on domestic production and non-oil exports instead of focusing on oil revenues.

Rezaei, who is the secretary of Irans Expediency Council, reaffirmed his determination to provide all the required means for the development of provincial economies, including allocation of state and green subsidies to local producers, farmers and fisheries.

The candidate also highlighted his plan to modernize Irans economy in an attempt to turn the threat of the Western sanctions into opportunities for the country.

Rezaei is competing against Tehran Mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, President of the Center for Strategic Research of the Expediency Council Hassan Rohani, lawmaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili, former Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Velayati, former First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, and former Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Gharazi.
