Lebanese Salafist Sheikh declares himself God

Lebanese Salafist Sheikh declares himself God
TEHRAN, May 28 (MNA) A Lebanese Sheikh provocative of sectarian violence has declared himself God.
Persecution of people in Lebanon especially in Sidon region by Salafist extremist groups associated with SheikhAhmed al-Asir has been continued.

During such a persecution, Salafist groups beat a Lebanese citizen. A Lebanese news website said that militiamen affiliated with Sheikh al-Asir had arrested a Sidon citizen, Mohammed Abu Dhuhr, and transferred him to Asirs command office, and beat him severely before Asirs eyes.

When the young man asked for help from Asir, he not only refused to help him, but joined the militiamen beating him, inflicting several breakages in Abu Dhuhrs jaw and injuring other parts of his body.

When Asir was beating me, he insulted me, and this did not suffice him, since he began to blasphemy and pronounced himself God, saying that what do you say of God, I am God myself.

Asir was not a famous figure until he suddenly came to the fore, taking extreme positions against Hezbollah and other Shiite figures.

Salafist branch in Lebanon is offshoots from Jihadiya, Takfiriya, and Wahhabiya movements. Asir, also nicknamed Sheikh of Trouble, has worked to raise ethnic and sectarian violence with help from foreign countries in Lebanon.
