Iran economy needs resourceful management: Rezaei

Iran economy needs resourceful management: Rezaei
Presidential candidate Mohsen Rezaei says resourceful management is the missing link in the Iranian economy.
Addressing a crowd of supporters in the northwestern city of Malekan, the independent candidate reiterated his pledge to tackle sanctions, and curb inflation and unemployment through a federal economic model.

He attributed the depreciation of Irans national currency, rial, to the incumbent administrations failure to save extra oil revenue.

Rezaei, who is secretary of the Expediency Council, criticized those who downplay the US-led sanctions, saying Iranians are no longer willing to pay for such slogans.

He added that Iran can strengthen its international influence on the back of a strong economy.

Rezaei is facing seven rivals in the upcoming election including former Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Velayati, lawmaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili, Tehran Mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, President of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council Hassan Rohani, former First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, and former Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Gharazi.
