Syrians will purge their country of terrorists: Iran defense min.

Despite efforts made by the Western states and Israel to create chaos in Syria, the Iranian defense minister says Syrians will purge their country of terrorists.
The coordination between the Zionist regime [of Israel] and Western countries, which do not want Syria to see peace, has caused this [Israeli] regime to enter the scene of conflict in Syria, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said in Tehran on Tuesday.

Vahidi, however, expressed confidence that Damascus would manage to resolve the crisis and drive out all terrorist elements from the country.
Today, by relying on its inherent power and popular support and the strength of its army and nation, [the government of] Syria is clearing various areas of the country of terrorists, he stated.
The Israeli military has carried out three airstrikes against Syria so far this year and has recently boosted its military activities in the Golan Heights, where clashes continue between the Syrian Army and militant groups.

On Tuesday, the Syria Army issued a statement saying it destroyed an Israeli military vehicle after it crossed the ceasefire line in the Israeli occupied Golan Heights, and drove toward a village in a flashpoint area "where there are armed terrorist groups.

Turmoil has gripped Syria for over two years, and many people, including large numbers of Syrian soldiers and security personnel, have been killed in the foreign-sponsored militancy.

Western powers and their regional allies including the Israeli regime, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar are partners in supporting the armed militant groups in Syria.
