Tehran believes that this conference may be trying to draw the shape of the new world; therefore, it is taking steps to influence its outcomes, with the cooperation of its allied parties specifically the Syrian government, Hezbollahs leadership and the Iraqi government.
A well-informed source in Tehran toldAl-Hayatthat the Iranian authorities were able to persuade President Bashar al-Assad to give Hezbollah an unlimited role and to put all the Syrian armys potential at its leaderships disposal in the event Assad wants to open the Golan front against Israel, since the region cannot handle the fall of the Syrian government. And if the fall of the Syrian regime were to be imposed byUS President Barack Obamaand his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, let it be at the expense of Israel and not at the expense of the resistance in the region.
The source said that Iran also persuaded Damascus to open the jihad door for all Arabs and Muslims who want to fight Israel from the Golan Heights, transform this region to a confrontation front with Israel as a turning point in the Arab-Israeli conflict and create resistance centers from among various groups in the regions adjacent to the Golan Heights and Mount Hermon.
In this context, the source said that Iran sent a message to Jordan, through its Foreign Affairs MinisterAli Akbar Salehiduring his recent visit to Oman, warning it of the risk of slipping into the trap devised by Israel and the United States to implicate it in the Syrian crisis.
The source said that Salehi felt [Jordanian] King Abdullahs discontent with the Qatari and Turkish roles in the Syrian crisis, and expressed his concern at the spread of armed radical groups such as Jabhat al-Nusra into Jordan. Salehi expressed Iran's willingness to provide Jordan with the necessary aid in cooperation with the Iraqi government to overcome the economic crisis if it were to accept to join the Iranian-Syrian-Iraqi axis.
The source pointed out that "Iran issued a warning to Qatar to limit the use of political money in tampering with the security and safety of the Arab and Islamic region, while Salehi presented during his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (where he met with Prince Saud al-Faisal in Jeddah on Sunday [May 12]) an understanding proposal based on the preservation of the security and stability of the region away from the Syrian war axis.
The source said that "the Iranian government proposed to the Egyptian presidential delegation which visited Tehran earlier this month to help reactivate the Egyptian role in the Arab and Islamic scenes and to economically and politically support the Egyptian government, in particular since Tehran has information on the Egyptian governments resentment of theQatari and Turkish roles in internal Egyptian affairsfollowing the ousting of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
The source indicated that "an agreement was reached between the Iranian and Syrian parties, stressing the necessity to automatically retaliate in case of any new Israeli aggression without waiting for an approval. It also confirmed that the limits of international compromises or consensus will be determined by the situation on the ground, through the rearrangement of confrontation tactics against the armed groups and the development of clear plans which is the case in several fronts whether in the Damascus countryside, Homs or Aleppo.
