Speaking to reporters after registration at the Iranian Interior Ministry in Tehran on Wednesday, the former lawmaker also vowed to promote justice by raising public knowledge and awareness.
Our plan seeks to rid the economy of usury, revive respect for law and order, promote justice by raising peoples awareness and managing the countrys affairs by adhering to ethical standards that our society currently needs to a great extent, said Sobhani.
He added that political parties will be stronger within the framework of law.
Registration of hopefuls for Irans 11th presidential election officially began on Tuesday morning. Hopefuls have five days, until May 11, to sign up for the presidential vote.
Deputy Head of Iran's Election Headquarters Hassan-Ali Nouri says 75 hopefuls registered on May 7, adding that on Wednesday, the second day of registration, 37 people including two women submitted their documents until noon.
The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term in a national election, and the Guardian Council vets the candidates for qualifications.
