Ahmadinejad: Millions-strong electoral turnout will break enemies back

Irans President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says a millions-strong turnout in the countrys upcoming presidential election will break the enemies back.
Addressing crowds of people in the southwestern province of Khuzestan, Ahmadinejad said an election with the participation of close to 50 million [people] should be held so that the back of the enemies be broken, the Iranian president's official website reported on Sunday.
He said, Today, an election with a 50-million-strong turnout, which produces a winner, who has won a high number of votes, will change domestic and international circumstances to the advantage of the nation of Iran.
He said the enemy has imposed sanctions on the country with the hope to bring the nation to its knees, noting that Last year, all the devils had gathered to defeat the nation of Iran.

But they should know that if they mobilize all the devils, they will not be able to take away nuclear knowledge from Iran, Ahmadinejad said.

The US, Israel, and some of their allies have repeatedly accused Iran of pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program.

Using the unfounded allegation as pretext, the US and its European allies have imposed unilateral sanctions against the Islamic Republic.

Iran rejects the allegations, arguing that as a committed signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it is entitled to develop nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
