Mehdi Hashemi, the son of Iran's former president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, will be tried on May 5, 2013, Mehr news agency quoted the judiciary spokesman's office as saying.

 
Iran’s university students to supervise forthcoming presidential election
According to FNA, Social-Cultural Deputy of Ministry of Science, Gholamreza Khajeh Sarvi has announced that with the arrangements made by the Guardian Council and Ministry of foreign affairs, university students supervise Iran’s upcoming presidential election for the first time. Khajeh Sarvi says that possible presidential candidates, their representatives or political activists can only attend the universities with the permission of the supervisory bodies.

 
 Iran F-5 fighter crashes killing two crew
An Iranian F-5 fighter jet has crashed into a mountain in Iran's Southwestern Ilam province this morning, Governor of Abdanan Morad Nasseri told Fars news agency, adding two pilots were also killed in the crash.

 
Iran's reference currency replaced by consolidated currency in basic goods
Iranian deputy minister of industry, mine and trade in internal business development, Hasan Radmard says that according to consolidated currency, different kinds of vegetable oil will be imported with reference and exchange currency so average oil price will be modified and increased, IRNA reported.
