Sanctions-hit Iran suburb braces for vote

Khorasan, a downtown, working-class suburbof Tehran, is expected to play a big role in deciding the outcome of Iran's presidential elections.
This neighbourhood, like others, has felt the impact of the sanctions. In the last year, some shopkeepers reported their income has fallen by half.

Meanwhile, the Iranian rial has plunged in value against the dollar and inflation soared.

BecausePresident Mahmoud Ahmadinejad cannot run again, some are hoping that means change and economic improvement.
