�KARACHI: Iran President Mahmud Ahmadinejad on Monday expressed resolve to complete Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the project, he said; � It is a historic day for Pakistan, Iran and the region, success could be achieved through determination and resolution�


He said that Islamabad was extending cooperation to Tehran in agriculture while the Islamic republic would provide electricity to Pakistan. �We have to work together for progress and prosperity of our people and we can resolve regional issues though dialogue,� the president said.

He said the pipeline would bring closer the two countries, adding that the project could be expanded to north Pakistan.
