Iran denounces Israel for clashes on Temple Mount

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman condemned IDF Border Patrol "aggression" against Palestinian worshipers on Temple Mount on Friday, and called for international action against Israel's "sacrilegious acts."
Worshipers at the al-Aqsa mosque started hurling stones and throwing Molotov cocktails at Israeli security forces outside the Mughrabi gate in Old City Jerusalem after Friday prayers. Border Patrol forces had to enter the al-Aqsa compound to disperse the crowds. Nine border policemen were wounded in the incident, according to police, and at least 15 Palestinians were wounded, according to Palestinian media.

"The weak response of the international community to these kinds of aggression, including the insult against the worshipers and sacrilege of the holy Quran at the al-Aqsa Mosque, will undoubtedly embolden the Zionists to commit more sacrilegious acts," Ramin Mehmanparast said.
