International Modern Engineering Research Confab opens in Iran

KHOMEYNI- SHAHR (Iran), March 6 (Bernama) -- The First International Confab on Modern Engineering Research in Mechanics, Development and Electricity Courses opened on Tuesday at Azad University, Tehran, Iran's IRNA reported.
Secretary of the confab, Farshid Aqadavoudi told the inaugural ceremony that the event is a new initiative in the scientific circles and academic centres of the country.

"The three-day congress, attended by the Iranian and foreign experts, will be held in two general and specialised sections," he noted.

He said that over 450 scientific articles from 70 Iranian academic centres and four foreign universities have been submitted to the secretariat.

"Some 240 Iranian and 10 foreign articles were selected from among the entries, 130 of which will be presented to the confab" he added.

Aqadavoudi said that the congress seeks to present the latest achievements in the field of industrial development and modern technologies.
