Iran to unveil new missile achievements in February: Commander

Ghader missileIranian Armed Forces are planning to unveil the countrys latest achievements in missile technology in early February, a senior Iranian commander says.
We will soon unveil long, intermediate and short-range missiles as well as tanks and armored vehicles during the Ten-Day Fajr (Dawn) [celebrations] (January 31-February 10, 2013), Iranian Armed Forces Deputy Chief of Staff Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri told reporters on Monday.
He noted that the Armed Forces will also break good news on Irans achievements in space and satellite technology.
The announcement comes on the same day as Iran successfully sent a monkey into space aboard an indigenous bio-capsule, code-named Pishgam (Pioneer), and returned it alive.

According to Iran Space Agency, the measure is part of the countrys broader project to send human beings on space missions within the next five to eight years.

Earlier on Sunday, Iran also inaugurated the production line of its indigenous short-range air defense system called Ya Zahra, which is capable of detecting, tracking and destroying short-range aerial targets including various kinds of aircraft.
