Pak-Iran trade ties need boost: KPCCI

Pakistan and Iran FlagPESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtun-khwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KPCCI) President Muhammad Yousaf Sarwar has stressed the need for bolstering economic and trade ties with Iran by exchanging locally manufactured products, joint banking system and trade in local currencies.
He was speaking at a dinner hosted by Iranian Consul General in Peshawar Hassan Darvish Vand in honour of newly elected office-bearers of the chamber.

The chamber chief said there was a dire need for enhancing current trade volume between the two brotherly Islamic countries. He also invited the Iranian investors to invest in the hydel power generation and other potential sectors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He lauded the efforts of Hassan Darvish Vand for strengthening mutual relations of Pakistan and Iran.

Speaking on the occasion, Hassan Darvish Vand said: Iran and Pakistan are tied with each other through religious, cultural and brotherly relations. He said both the countries should take serious steps for boosting trade relations.
