TEHRAN, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Iran exported 44,682 passenger cars, valued at about 257 million U.S. dollars, during the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20- December 20, 2012), Tehran Times daily reported on Monday.
The exported cars showed 284 percent rise in number and 330 percent rise in value compared to the same period last year, according to the report.
Iraq was the major importer of Iranian cars, accounting for 98 percent of total imports, said the report, adding that small numbers of cars were also exported to Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
