Israel war threat against Iran mere lie: Iran cmdr.

120617160506_jazayeri_304x171_isnaIran's Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri has slammed Israels new threat to launch a direct attack against the Iranian capital, Tehran, as a mere lie.
Israel's Air Force commander, Major General Amir Eshel, recently accused Iran of transferring arms to the Gaza Strip and indirectly threatened to attack Iran.

Jazayeri said on Monday that the remarks of the commander of Israel's air force are nothing but mere lies.
"The [false] fame of the power of the Zionist regime [of Israel] is related to psychological operations launched by imperialistic media and in reality, the occupying regime [of Israel] is rotten on the inside and this reality will soon become known to all [the world]," the Iranian commander noted.
Jazayeri pointed to Israels failure in the 33-day war against the Lebanese Hezbollah in 2006, the 22-day war against Gaza in 2008, and the November 2012 invasion of Gaza, saying, The Zionist regime [of Israel] is not capable of engaging in any serious war.

Israel has at times threatened to attack Iran's nuclear facilities based on the unfounded allegation that Iran's nuclear energy program has been diverted towards military purposes.

Iran rejects the allegations against its nuclear energy program, arguing that as a committed signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency, it has the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
