Iranian crude twice more productive than Arabs

Iranian oilTEHRAN, Dec. 16 (MNA) despite the well-orchestrated attempts by Persian Gulf Arab oil producers to take over markets belonged to Iran, high benzene and gasoline productivity of Iranian crude and performance compared to other crude in the market, exports has increased and more countries enjoyed exemption from US sanctions on Iran oil on their imports from Iran.
Despite the international pressures and especially US sanctions posed on the Iranian traditional oil customers, many Asian and African countries import oil from Iran.

The report goes to say that in last few days, Iran has exported 10 millions of barrels of crude to South Korea and Taiwan, and exports of this strategic good gained boost in Turkish, South African, Sri Lankan and other Asian countries markets.

With rise in Iranian crude imports, Obama Administration have rewarded exemption from sanctions to China, India, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Turkey in importing Iranian crude for another 6 months.

High quality and performance of Iranian crude compared to crude from other Persian Gulf countries and other OPEC members, has boosted the Irans export, despite the tightening international sanctions on Iran crude trade.

MinisterSusil Premajayantha,Sri Lankan Ministry of Petroleum Industries, was among the first authorities, who, in recent months, have praised the Iranian crude as highly productive. He adds that in the current situation, imported oil from Iran has a productivity rate almost twice that of Saudi Arabian crude in terms of benzene and gasoline production. This advantage lures Sri Lanka to find alternatives to crude imports from Iran, despite the Iraqi and Saudi light crude still being imported.

The official report show that each 5000 tons of Iranian crude produces 1200 tons of gasoline and 1250 tones of benzene, the remaining being consumed for secondary products, while Saudi Arabian crude produces 1400 tons of gasoline and 600 tons of benzene. An authority in Iranian national Oil company told Mehr News that Asian and European refineries had written to Iran, saying that officials of refineries have replaced the OPEC crude and even crude produced by Russia, they have helped performance rise 10 per cent.

Prior to posing sanctions on Iranian crude traditional customers, oil experts deemed crude from Ural, Russia, light crude from Basra, Saudi light crude, and Venezuelas oil as possible replacements for Iranian crude. No crude oil did boost performance in refineries in Turkey, China, South Korea, Japan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Greece, India, and Malaysia like the Iranian crude.

Diversification of Export Basket in Persian Gulf

Mohammad Zirakchian told MNA that new oil fields and diversification of export basket in Persian Gulf has been developed. He added that currently there are 7 types of light, heavy, and semi-heavy oil in export basket in Persian Gulf.

The directing manager of the Offshore Oil Company said that 5 types out of 7 types of exported oil are produced from Persian Gulf fields. Based on this premise, fields of Suroush, Nowrouz, Hendijan, and Behregansar have enjoyed highest demand for exported crude.

He also stated that crude from these fields are two types of heavy and light, and added that with the few fields developed, for the first time, the lightest crude of Persian Gulf and the world will be produced.

The Deputy of Offshore Oil Company Board of Directors also added that crude from Siri, Lavan and Hengam are Persian Gulf light, and that they have APIs of 34, 36, and 46 respectively.
