Translator's wickedness to strain Iran-Canada relationship

Translator
An Ottawa-based Iranian-Canadian translator's wickedness in translating the interview of Hamid Mohammadi, Irans cultural affairs counselor at the embassy in Ottawa, causes the Iran-Canada relationship be strained and Canadian government adopts aggressive stance against Iran.

In an interview with an Iran-based website named Iranians Residing Abroad, Hamid Mohammadi, Irans cultural counselor in Ottawa raised several issues but the final part of the interview has been the top news in many news agencies in Canada and around the world.

According to BBC Persian, an Ottawa-based Iranian-Canadian citizen named Shabnam Assadollahi, who helped translate the Mohammadi interview, has had a serious role in making the interview controversial.

In the contact the BBC Persian has had with Shabnam Assadollahi, an Iranian-Canadian human rights activist, she mentioned her goal of translating and pursuing this interview as closing the Iranian Embassy in Canada and expelling those whom she named as the Basij and the Guards of Iran in Canada.

Estimating the Iranian population in Canada to be 500,000, Mohammadi said that "we need to put into effect very concentrated cultural programs in order to enhance and nurture the culture in this fast-growing population. It is obvious that this large Iranian population can be of service to our beloved Iran through these programs and gatherings."

But Canadian Foreign Ministry described Mohammad's statement as Iran's effort to recruit expatriates, and warned Iran's embassy that it should not interfere in their choices, adding that Canadian security organizations "will act to prevent threats and intimidation of Canadians," AFP reported.

In response, Kambiz Sheikh-Hassani, the head of mission at the embassy, denied the reported allegations.

"We strongly dismiss baseless allegations by few medias that 'Iranian embassy has been recruiting ethnic Iranians in Canada to be of service to Iran,'" he told AFP in a statement condemning the "ridiculous" terror allegations.

It seems that Canada's Foreign Ministry is seeking a pretext for conflict with Iran.

Shame on you - your nonsense article is giving a bad name to a woman who gives back to her country in every way. She is a model citizen and an honest woman. Not to mention that the quote you have mentioned in this article --and considering the ridiculous history of Iran's extremist views is what shows people what the Iranian embassy is really up to. Not just because Shabnam says it. How stupid do you think this government is that they would base their entire jugement of a country on the word of one woman? No. Iran does WELL ENOUGH at portraying itself in a negative light. Try backing off the radical belief system and then maybe people will stop thinking of you that way. Shame.

Dear Serena, I couldn't agree with you more! The absurd, archaic, and disturbed ruling regime in Iran with its PIAD bullies who kill, torture, rape, and break bones of Iranian citizens IS NOT losing its diplomatic position with Canada over one activist translation. This regime's atrocities against its own people is an ideologically racist tyranny; it combines Hitler's genocide with the Soviet and Chinese absolute no respect for human rights with apartheid which treats minorities and even women in a fascist manner.
Iran has become a country NOT FOR Iranians but for refugees from Afghanistan and Pakistan, while thousands and thousands of Iranians through three decades have had to leave their home land and families and become displace refugees and stateless people because of this sadist regime.
So it is the atrocities of this regime and its BULLY constituents WHO ARE 200% against HUMANITY that is putting an end to them.
It is about time Canadian government wakes up and becomes aware that once this regime is OUT majority of these criminal bullies WILL BE HEADING to Canada and the U.S.!

The sooner the Canadian government closes the Iranian Embassy the better for us. Every, peace-loving country should follow the suit.
Iran has no right to export and to impose its hatred and darkness all over the world. We are peaceful people, learn from us or leave us alone.

Apparently you've drunk the coolaid. Are you another apologist tool? Well you know what happens to those naughty characters? We out them and set the whole Iranian community and ALL our friends on them to educate you about the facts. Your name will go down as a cheap whore...easily bought and sold and we will do our utmost to make sure that you do not think that you can somehow besmirch the character of our brave activists and freedom fighters. Be very clear on this fact: you're no better than toilet paper for the Iranian regime; once they are done with you, they will flush you down to the human sewers to find your own level.
