A major winter storm impacted the Almas mountain pass in Iran's Ardabil province with snowfall, blizzard conditions, and severe weather.

According to The Iran Project, Almas mountain pass has witnessed heavy snow with developing blizzard today. Here is a video that displays today's major snow storm at the mountain pass in Khalkhal city.

The rescuers rushed to help people stuck in the winter storm in the middle of the road at the mountain pass.

Khalkhal which is located in ardabil province in the orthwestern Iran  is freezing in winter and mild in summer, attracting thousands every year. The capital city of Ardabil is usually recorded as one of the coldest cities in the country in winter.
