Young soldiers attend National Youth Day ceremony

TEHRAN, June 9 (MNA) – Iran has held National Young Soldiers’ Ceremony on National Youth Day with Military high-raking commanders attending.


Brig. Gen. Hassan Shah Safi, Iran’s Air Force’s commander-in-chief, head of the Political-Ideological Department of Iran's Army Hojjatoleslam val- Moslemin Seyed Mohammad Ali Al-e Hashem, General Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces Gen. Hassani Sadi and IRGC Public Relations head Gen. Ramezan Sharif and a group of select soldiers attended the ceremony.

Army deputy executive said the Young Soldier Ceremony was held to emphasize on national, Revolutionary, and Islamic ideologies to improve creation, talents, and dynamism of the young Iranian soldiers.

Gen. Mahmoudi added that the select soldiers were chosen out of several outstanding soldiers from around the country.

National Youth Day is the birth anniversary of twelve Shiites’ 3rd Imam’s son, (Ali Akbar the elder of Imam Hussein’s two sons who was martyred on the Battle of Karbala).
