Tehran, Nov 20, IRNA – Basij commanders from all over the country gathered in Tehran Grand Prayer site Wednesday morning to renew allegiance to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The Supreme Leader is attending the 50,000-strong gathering which is taking place on the eve of the Basij Week.

The Ayatollah will address the event shortly.

The gathering is given live coverage by Iranian TV and radio networks.

The Basij Commander Mohammadreza Naqdi said the Basij Week this year will begin with the motto of “the Flag Bearers of Islamic Civilization”.
