28 Sep 2013 - 13:44

The Iranian filmmaker Keyvan Karimi’s creation The Adventure of the Married Couple is scheduled to be screened at the 61st San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain.
The movie is slated to represent Iran at the 12th International Film Students Meeting, which will be held on the sidelines of the Spanish festival.

The Adventure of the Married Couple is an adapted work from the Italian writer Italo Calvino’s story that features poetic variation on the daily routine in black and white.

The story chronicles the daily life of a married couple who has to work all week even on weekends. Since they work in opposite shifts, they cannot meet each other.

This year’s International Film Students Meeting that is to shed light on the work of students from film schools kicked off on September 25 and will run through 27.

Some 138 short films from 63 schools in 26 countries like Bolivia, Brazil, France, Greece, Hungary, and Switzerland are to be presented at the Students Meeting.

Iranian director Majid Barzegar’s feature length movie Parvizrepresented the country’s cinema in last year’s edition of San Sebastian Festival.

San Sebastian International Film Festival is a competitive non-specialized Festival, considered the most important event in the Spanish-speaking world.

The 2013 edition of the festival started its activity on September 20 and will come to an end on September 28.
