Two Iranian short films to compete at Australian film festival

Two Iranian short screen productions have entered the 2013 screening lineup of the First and The Last Experimental International Film Festival (flEXiff) in Australia.
Shahram Ashraf-Abyaneh’s short documentary Where Is My Home and Farshid Akhlaqi’s short fiction Blind Owl Wedding Hall will contend for award at the year’s flEXiff that will be held in Sidney.

Where Is My Home is a non-dialogue documentary that features ancient monuments and structures in Tehran.

Organized by the Cinewest Company, the 11th edition of the festival will showcase a collection of films from different countries around the world.

The annual festival of flEXiff presents the best of Australian and international short and feature length films, as well as media arts installations.

This year’s festival is slated to host different creations by many filmmakers from Afghanistan, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Poland, Russia and several other countries.

The 11th edition of flEXiff is scheduled to take place from September 20 to 22, 2013.
