TEHRAN (ISNA)- Managing-Director of Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) Mehdi Fakour said the country's daily oil income would be increased by 13 million dollars in case one of the country's biggest oil and gas plans known as '16 Meidan' (16 fields) is accomplished.
The plan includes 9 gas and oil fields as well as other facilities and establishments required for improving the quality of the extracted oil. It costs 102 million dollars which can be compensated in 25 days.

The plan includes 121 projects and sub-projects, 119 of which has been accomplished and launched, he said, adding only two desalination projects of 'Dehloran' and 'Khesht' have remained which have been completed respectively by 95 and 85 percent.

The knowhow and equipment required for the plan have been provided locally from 35-100 percent, he said, adding 65 percent of tools, devices and goods have been supplied indigenously.

According to Fakkour, Iran's gas output has increased by 6 percent in 2012, totaling 264 million cubic meters, while the figure stood at 257 million cubic meters in 2011.
