BEIRUT: Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah denounced Friday the recent killing of a Lebanese protester outside Iran's embassy in Beirut.
“We totally reject the incident that took place outside the Iranian Embassyand the killing was [deplorable] and this issue is being investigated,” he said.
He was referring to the June 9 shooting and killing of Hashem Salmanoutside the Iranian Embassy in Beirut. Salman, 28, who headed the student committee of the Lebanese Option Party, a fierce Hezbollah critic, was killed while protesting the resistance group’s military involvement in the Syrian conflict.
