IRNA – An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale jolted Behabad city in mid-south province of Yazd early morning of Thursday.

According to report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 05:46:31 hours local time (2:16 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 55.68 degrees longitude and 32.14 degrees latitude and in the depth of 10 kilometers underground.

There was no immediate report on the possible casualties or damages.

Behabad is located in 140 kilometers southeast of Yazd city, capital of the province.
