Iran, UK FMs discuss mutual cooperation

FNA- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his British counterpart Boris Johnson in a meeting in Tehran on Saturday discussed bilateral ties and regional developments.

During the meeting in the Iranian capital today, Zarif and Johnson explored the avenues for broadening of trade and banking relations.

The two sides also reviewed regional developments during the meeting.

The British foreign secretary arrived in Tehran on Saturday to hold meetings with Iranian officials.

Johnson’s visit aims at reviewing the latest conditions of bilateral ties, regional issues and international developments, and developing trade and banking relations.

During his two-day stay, Johnson is scheduled to meet Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali-Akbar Salehi.
