Media in Pakistan widely covers Iran's Supreme Leader remarks

IRNA - Pakistani electronic and print media in their reports give wide coverage to remarks made by the Supreme Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei that Iran and Russia can isolate the US.

Daily ‘Dawn’ reported that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei told Russian President Vladimir Putin that Tehran and Moscow needed to step up cooperation to isolate the United States and restore peace in the Middle East.

“Full resolution of Syria’s crisis needs strong cooperation between Iran and Russia ... Our cooperation can isolate America ... This cooperation will restore stability in the region,” Ayatollah Khamenei said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Nov 1 in Tehran.

President Putin and his Azeri counterpart Ilham Aliyev attended the second round of their trilateral summit with President Hassan Rouhni in Tehran on Wednesday to exchange views on major issues of interests including promotion of economic ties and cooperation on fight against terrorism.

The first round of the trilateral summit was held in Baku in August 2016, at the initiative of President Aliyev.

Daily ‘The Nation’ reported that Iran’s Supreme Leader said that Tehran and Moscow can isolate the United States through their close cooperation.

Meanwhile, “The News’ said that Iran’s Supreme Leader said Iran and Russia should cooperate to isolate US, foster Middle East stability.

'Our cooperation can isolate America . . . The failure of US -backed terrorists in Syria cannot be denied but Americans continue their plots,' Ayatollah Khamenei told Russian President Vladimir Putin.

AbTak TV channel said that Iran’s Leader Ayatollah Khamenei told Russian President Vladimir Putin that Tehran and Moscow should cooperate to isolate the United States.

‘Express Tribune’ said Russian President Vladimir Putin met Iran’s leadership in Tehran as the two Damascus allies push a Syria peace plan and the Kremlin offers its backing for a landmark nuclear deal facing US opposition.
