Foreign chain stores to be launched in Iran soon: Official

July 22, The Iran Project – Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade has announced that German and French companies are ready to launch large chain stores in the country.


Mojtaba Khosrowtaj, who is also the head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization, said according to the regulations, Iranian and foreign nationals do not have any problems and restrictions to set up chain stores in the country.


In addition to Germany, France and some other European countries, some Persian Gulf countries have also made requests to set up large chain stores in Iran, Khosrowtaj added.


Launching chain stores in Iran, these companies can be active in the country’s distribution network, distribute Iranian made goods, and offer foreign products imported into the country in accordance with the laws and regulations, head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization noted.


He reiterated that the development of these stores is aimed at minimizing costs, providing quality products for the customers, better controlling financial and tax issues and improving purchasing efficiency.


He also said that today, there is a trade unit in the country for every 44 people so by launching the large chain stores we can greatly increase the small number of such units.
