Iran's new envoy to Brazil submits credentials

IRNA – Iran’s new ambassador to Brazil presented his credentials to the country’s President Michel Temer.

Credentials of Seyyed Ali Saqaian were presented on Tuesday in the country’s capital Brasilia.

Temer in the meeting emphasized the importance of Iran-Brazil relations and called for the expansion of cooperation between the two countries. He also expressed hope that his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani would visit Brazil soon.

Pointing to the main fields of cooperation between the two countries, the new envoy, for his part, emphasized enhancing relations with Brazil in bilateral and multi-lateral fields, as well as in the form of regional and international organizations.

He also noted the necessity of the two countries’ efforts to use the capacities in cooperation.
