Iran resumes gas exports to Turkey

TEHRAN, Nov 01 (Shana) – Iran has resumed gas exports to Turkey following a Turkish opposition blast in the pipeline carrying Iranian gas to Turkey last Thursday.

The gas exports resumed as Turkish Butas Company announced removal of technical problem in the pipeline.

Talking to Shana, Spokesman of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Majid Boujarzadeh said the gas exports that had been disrupted on Thursday evening were resumed as of late Monday.

Boujarzadeh said in the initial phase, 27 million cubic meters gas is carried and then pressure in the pipeline will be adjusted.

He said in next few hours, gas delivery will hit the ceiling foreseen in the contract in tune with the need of the Turkish party.
