Tehran, Sept 24, IRNA – Iranian feature film 'Nahid' directed by Aida Panahandeh won the best film prize and statue of Golden Deer in the fifth Japan Nara Film Festival.


International Nara Film Festival holds biennially in ancient capital city of Japan,' Nara'.

The 5th festival kicked off on September 17 and worked until September 22.

From 1700 movies, eight films were selected from the US, Switzerland, Germany, China, the Philippines , Norway, Japan and Iran for the international competition.

The Iranian movie also won statue of Golden Grape Leaf as the best movie in the 4th International Film Festival of Duhok in Iraqi Kurdistan region past week.
