Iran, Indonesia agree on urban development plans

Kuala Lumpur, July 27, IRNA – Iranian and Indonesian officials held a meeting in Indonesia's city of Surabaya and reviewed ways to cooperate in planning for urban development.


The meeting was attended by Iran's Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Saeed Izadi and Indonesian Minister of Public Works and Housing Basuki Hadimuljono.

Izadi is in Indonesia to take part in the third session of the Preparatory Committee for Habitat III on July 25-27 in Surabaya.

Izadi expressed Iran's willingness to share experiences with Indonesia in urban development.

For his part, the Indonesian minister called for further Jakarta-Tehran ties in housing area.
