Iran-Iraq Chamber of Commerce opens bureau in Ahwaz

TEHRAN, Jul. 23 (MNA) –  The first representative office of Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce was established in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahwaz.


The event took place during a ceremony attended by governmental and provincial officials in Khuzestan.

The Chairman of Iran-Iraq Chamber of Commerce Yahya Ale-Ishaq urged all public and private sector officials to support the new representative office saying “border provinces, Khuzestan in particular, can play an important role in entering the Iraqi market due to having especial economic conditions.”

He expressed hope that the joint chamber between Iran and Iraq, which enjoys state authority, will enhance economic relations between the two countries.

Also at the ceremony, a member of Board of Directors of the Iran Chamber Keivan Kashefi said Iran-Iraq Chamber marks one of the country’s most active economic chambers; “numerous important Iranian companies are actively present in the chamber which highlights the significance of taken measures.”

“Undoubtedly, the representative office would have a bright future regarding boosting of bilateral ties between the two countries,” he underlined.

The ceremony also appointed Ali Hamuleh as the representative of Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce in Khuzestan province.
