4th round of talks start over Iran nuclear program
World powers have begun their fourth round of high-level talks with Iranian officials in hopes of stopping the Islamic regime’s nuclear program from making atomic weapons.

It’s not clear if the talks will conclude Tuesday night or stretch into a second day.
EU says no breakthrough deal expected at Iran talks in Almaty
World powers do not expect a breakthrough agreement at nuclear talks with Iran in the Kazakh city of Almaty, a spokesman for the European Union’s foreign policy chief said on Tuesday.

“It is clear that nobody expects to come from Almaty with a fully-done deal,” Michael Mann told a news conference shortly after negotiations started. Talks are expected to run through Wednesday.
Senators urge EU to plug ECB loophole in Iran sanctions
Senators on Monday urged European Union leaders to do more to stop the Iranian government from using the European Central Bank, saying the bank’s payment system may inadvertently be aiding Tehran in financing its nuclear program.

On the eve of talks between Western powers and Iran, lawmakers told the EU’s leadership in a letter that Iran may be circumventing American and European sanctions by using the central bank to convert euros into local currency and conduct trade.
Iran’s parliament chooses new Minister of Communications and Information Technology
Iran’s parliament has voted to choose the new Minister of Communications and Information Technology, ISNA reported.

Mohammad Hassan Nami was chosen as the minister, after a voting of 247 delegates, 177 of which voted for his election.
Ally of Iran president accused in protester deaths
Iran’s state TV says prosecutors have accused a close ally of the Iranian president of involvement in the deaths of detainees during unrest after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s disputed re-election nearly four years ago.

The allegations against Saeed Mortazavi, a former Tehran prosecutor, are the latest potential political troubles for Ahmadinejad. Many of the president’s allies have been detained or weakened during power struggles with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
