TEHRAN, May 03 (MNA) – Iran’s Embassy in Kuwait in a statement has rejected claims by some Kuwaiti media that the embassy has sent a delegate to assist Houthi negotiators in Yemen peace talks.
“The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kuwait strongly rejects the claim published by ‘Al-Watan’ Newspaper electronic database on 30 April, 2016, that the embassy has sent a delegate to assist what this newspaper has called the ‘delegate of revolutionaries’ participating in Yemen peace talks,” reads the statement.
The embassy went on to deem the claim of Al-Watan Newspaper on the presence of some Iranian advisors in the vicinity of the location for negotiations ‘completely baseless’, and a ‘media mendacity’ created from Al-Watan reporter’s imagination.
Iran’s embassy has called on Kuwaiti mass media to exercise more precision and accuracy in publishing reports.
