Iranian, South Korean presidents confer on mutual ties

Tehran, May 2, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani and his visiting South Korean counterpart Park Geun-hye held talks here Monday on various international, regional and bilateral issues.


The talks were held at cultural and historical complex of Saadabad in north of the Iranian capital.

President Park Geun-hye, heading a 236-member delegation, arrived in Tehran on Sunday.

During her visit to Tehran, the two countries are to sign 44 agreements on cooperation in the issues of energy, banks, insurance, infrastructural projects, health, treatment, science, technology, and culture.

20 of those agreements will be inked in the presence of the two presidents, and the rest will be signed by businesspersons of the two countries.

Ms. Park Geun-hye is the first South Korean president visiting Iran since the establishment of relations between the two countries in 1962.
