TEHRAN - Nechirvan Barzani, prime minister of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government, on Saturday congratulated the Iranian government and nation on the successful holding of national elections on Friday.

Speaking to reporters, Barzani described the holding of the Experts Assembly and Parliamentary elections in Iran as a success, IRNA reported.

He wished further success and prosperity for the Iranian nation.

Barzani said that Iran’s achievements are of prime importance for the Kurdistan region and will leave a positive impact on bilateral relations.
