Volleyball players to hold 3 friendly games

BOUSHEHR, Jan. 20 (MNA) – President of Iran’s Volleyball Federation has announced that the national team will play friendly matches against Poland, France and Germnay.


Describing the planning for the national volleyball team, Head of Iran's Volleyball Federation Mohammad Reza Davarzani said “suitable sports camps have been envisaged and several training matches will be held.”

He reported that the sports camp for the Iranian outfit will kick off on March 25, 2016.

“The World Olympic qualification tournament will be held in Japan from 28 May to 5 June 2016 where the best ranked Asian team will qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games,” underlined Davarzani asserting “on the way to Japan, Iranian volleyball players will go through a training camp in South Korea holding a match with the Asian country’s national team.”

The official expressed hope that the Iranian squad will secure a place in Rio Olympics maintaining “another sports camp will take place in Germany with friendly matches against Poland, France and Germany.”

“A total of six preparation encounters will be held before Japan’s tournament,” noted Davarzani expressing hope that the team will receive a thorough preparation until then.
