Iranian Insurance firms will offer air pollution coverage following the record air pollution in the capital in recent days, an official at the Iranian Insurers’ Syndicate said on Saturday.

Ali Akbar Oliaei said innovation in the industry should be based on public demand rather than imitating their foreign peers, risknews.ir reported. Such measures can help improve public opinion about insurance sector, he added. No further details were available.
