Mohammad Javad Zarif has been hospitalized once again for backache, an official at the Foreign Ministry confirmed Tuesday.

The foreign minister was scheduled to deliver a speech in a conference on “Imam Khomeini and Foreign Policy”. This is the second time Zarif has been admitted to the hospital for the same condition. In late 2013 he attended the nuclear talks with P5+1 in a wheelchair.

It came after his American counterpart John Kerry broke his leg in a cycling accident in France and was taken to the hospital. On Monday Kerry got on the phone and promised Zarif to carry on with nuclear talks according to plan.
