Berlin, Mar 3, IRNA -- German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier stressed unique progress has been made in the talks between Iran and six world powers aimed at reaching a comprehensive deal on Tehran's nuclear program, German Press-Agency dpa reported Tuesday.

Speaking at a UN disarmament conference in Geneva, Switzerland, Steinmeier said, we have never made this much progress over the past 10 years.

Both sides are implementing the Geneva 2013 interim accord and the talks are 'going well,' Germany's top diplomat was quoted saying.

The German government has repeatedly said it was still optimistic the basic framework of a nuclear deal with Iran could still be met by the end of this month's deadline, provided all sides are ready for what Berlin termed a 'political compromise'.
