Iran exports $8.6 billion gas condensates last 9 months

TEHRAN: Iran exports 9.575 million tons gas condensates in previous nine months, worth 8.65 billion dollars. It is noted that 35 percent to 40 percent increase in term of value and weight respectively, compared to before March 2014.
The main importers of Iranian gas condensates were China, Japan, UAE, India, Turkey, Iraq, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Armenia, Russia, Mozambique, Egypt, Syria, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Qatar, Tanzania, Philippines, Ghana, Kenya, Azerbaijan, Georgia, South Korea and Mexico. Iran sits on the world’s largest natural gas reserves.

Iran’s biggest industrial hub, South Pars gas field, which Iran shares with Qatar in the Gulf, is estimated to contain 14 trillion cubic meters of gas and 18bn barrels of gas condensates.

Managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company, Alireza Kamali, announced an increase of 150m cubic meters of gas per day to the gas export capacity of the country in the next three years.

With the annual production increase of 100m cubic meters of gas from South Pars in the next three years, at least 150m cubic meters of gas will be added to the export capacity of the country per day.
