MNA � Rumors about Moscow's efforts to mediate between Iran's SNSC Secretary Ali Shamkhani and Israeli national security advisor in Sochi are total lies, said an informed source in Russian National Security Council on Wednesday.

An informed source in Russian National Security Council announced on Wednesday that the rumors about Moscow's efforts for mediating between Iran's SNSC Secretary Ali Shamkhani and Israeli National Security Advisor Eytan Ben-David were part of a media hype.

The source reiterated that neither such a meeting was held between Ali Shamkhani and Eytan Ben-David nor the Russians intended to arrange such a meeting.

Nikolai Platonovich Patrushev, the Secretary of the Security Council of Russian Federation held separate bilateral meetings with Shamkhani and Ben-David on Wednesday evening. The meetings gave the Israeli media a chance to roll out a new propaganda for their own interests, reads how the event is reflected in Farsi edition of news agencies in Iran.
