French envoy urges US to respect Iran nuclear deal

IRNA – French ambassador to Washington urged the US to respect the nuclear deal reached between the Islamic Republic and G5+1 (the US, the UK, Russia, China and France plus Germany).

‘You can’t amend an agreement against the will of other parties to it (Iran, China and Russia). We are ready to work on regional and proliferation activities of Iran, but we will respect the #irandeal as it is,’ Gérard Araud said on Monday.

Since the implementation of Iran nuclear deal, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has several times confirmed Iran’s commitment to the Accord. This is while the United States, as a party to the deal, has repeatedly threatened to step away from it.

Iran says it will continue to honor its commitments under the provisions of the deals as long as the accord is not violated by the other parties.
