President: Fluctuations in foreign exchange rates will not last long

IRNA - President Hassan Rouhani said on Monday that the fluctuations in foreign exchange rates would not last long and the country faces no hard currency shortages.

Addressing the Iranian nation in a live televised speech, Rouhani said 'Our situation in terms of hard currency sources is good and will become better in the future.'

He said the government's promise to the people is that it would provide them with their needed hard currency. 'Fortunately,' he said 'Our foreign exchange incomes are more than our foreign exchange expenses.'

'Our prediction is that by the end of the current Iranian calendar year, the country's hard currency incomes (both from oil and non-oil exports) will amount to 90 billion dollars,' the president said.
